Where the pad goes in the pack you could put a armor plate they make for packs. Great review and camp out. Thanks and great job with the bird. We need to see more compassion now days I think and you showed what any compassionate human would have done.

    Love it bro. 👍

Great time out with an awesome storm. You gave the bird a bit of an easier death which it normally would have been much harder but that is nature. I hope you do a full review on the lite fighter.

One of the differences between animal-animals and human-animals is our advanced intellectual compassion when we realize something is hurt or suffering. I would have done the same thing. Been watching your channel for quite a few years, you're a cool dude and have some positive things to say. Keep up the good work buddy! Aaawooooooooo..

  • Reply whiskey86tv July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

Crazy that I just acquired this same tent!! I was looking for you to have a review and theres my tent! I had the ICS which ventilated poorly unless you opened the back side, which let in bugs.. This one lacks the blackout privacy but its much more comfortable and better headroom.

  • Reply james mullen July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

    How much was the tent

  • Reply Bob McElroy July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

By human standards, you did right by the bird, thank you! By nature standards, well, as a theology professor once said about the end times…"better educated men will argue about it until Jesus shows back up, and then some of them will argue with Him about it"…

  • Reply Ronnie Harris July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

    you did a great thing

I like watching your videos. You should stop saying “ to be honest” for it implies you lie other times. It’s just a [er peeve of mine. Keep up the great videos

Dude! Backpacking safety:The last place you want to be in a thunder/lighting storm is in a tent with aluminum poles. Find a medium size tree(NOT THE TALLEST TREE AROUND) then find a spot as far as you can away from the trunk while still under cover, sit on top of your pack trying not to touch the ground and if you forgot rain gear/poncho, drape your rain fly over you and your pack. Spread out if you’re in a group to minimize # of possible casualties. NEVER eat in your tent or store food in your tent in bear country! Bring a pack towel for your tent etc. and shake out your fly or slap it from the inside out before you wipe it down. Get yourself a grabber emergency blanket/tarp for a ground cloth(reflective side up for warmth) and be sure it doesn’t extend beyond the fly. Don’t make those safety mistakes in Colorado buddy! A lot of people die from lightning there every year. Bears are no joke either. Especially in grizzly country, which rumor has it, Colorado may have some that have migrated south from Yellowstone. Be safe Brother! I wouldn’t have moved the bird but maybe I’d have taken a leafy branch and covered it for shade and pooled some water in a leaf. Wouldn’t have buried any as that removes food for another animal(cycle of life). Your heart was in the right place. Have fun in CO I lived there for 18 years backpacking, climbing, hunting, 4wheeling, and packed horses for 5 summers. Outdoorsman’s paradise! Bring high power sunblock and drink lots of water! If you’re planning to hike, do a little sightseeing for a few days to get used to the altitude as much as you can. Lol Love that tent! Love your channel! Anticipating those CO vids! 👍🏽

Too bad they don't make flea and tick repellent for humans that you can just take once a month… And nice of you to let the poor bird die in peace in the shade at least.. Life for ya… Btw almost 2 months sober.. And loving life.. And working on quiting smoking now like you said to do. In your last email to me… Be safe out there.. strength and honor man! 👍

Ps.. Almost forgot… What cell phone do you use and have.. Have something that I know your going to love in mind for you. Lol

Luke when you bring your woobie do you put it in some sort of bag or something or just folded up in your bag?

  • Reply Miguel Valentin July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

@TheOutdoorGearReview – found the 2 person by Litefighter on their website: more room for gear and comfort….a little on the heavy side but worth the extra space availability in my opinion….

just letting you know. A bear that Is 3 miles away. Can smell your Food, if it was in your car, in the cooler, and in the wrapper still. So your little sausage patties. Bears can smell that. 😀

Luke, would like to see you review the Moko 4 season budget tent

  • Reply Greg Harbin July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

Another great video and gear review. As far as the baby bird(s) go, there was very little else you could have done and…yes…you did do the right thing….more than many people would have done.

  • Reply Robin Jones July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

You definitely did the right thing! I would of been scared out there in the storm all by myself.

  • Reply Jimmy S July 29, 2019 at 8:14 am

I'm hearing you on the back injury. I didn't break mine but a l4/5 disk bulge has kept me from getting out there for most of the last several months. I'll live vicarioulsy through videos like this for the mean time.
