All The US Navy Combat Jets In History

July 24, 2019

the first of the famous st. Louis ghost fighters had arrived and it had the distinction of being the first American jet aircraft to be successfully employed on carrier before saying farewell the banshee has just one more trick to demonstrate as proof that it realizes the value of every inch of space aboard a carrier take off on missions over North Korea remember restarts are possible and I'll refuse up to 40,000 feet but two events altitude is 25,000 feet or below and at an engine rpm of 25% the absence of an ejection system was unsettling to its three crew members in fact many pilots joke that a3d stood for all three day the Navy's Blue Angels are our counterpart on the Defense Department they're one of the finest acrobatic teams in the world today I've never met a person who was floated in aerial combat who didn't really enjoy it now to land it and bring it aboard a boat now that's a different question left is the f4d tirade a single sea harrier born fighter do brittonic feet it was the workhorse of Navy and airforce equally without combat or on a bombing you each airplane has an integral part to play it was unique aircraft it blended on nine fire control system or it's radar with a named 54 Phoenix missile system that made its the Navy's first choice for long-range fleet air defense

Interestingly all f18 variants were included, but, the RA 5C vigilante, only was represented as the A5? Lol

EA-6B Prowler? S-3 Viking? Come on guys…those weren't obscure aircraft. Makes you wonder how many more were missing.

The f11 and f14 are my favorite. And when ever I'm down I watched this and it makes me happy.

F-111 was never active, really did not deserve a place here… missed the EA-6B Prowler, which was NOT an A-6 (showed the EA-18G, so why not the previous EA-6B as a separate aircraft)… there was an A-5A nuclear bomber variant of the A-5, and the RA-5C which were very different… Yeah, per previous comments totally missed the S-3 Viking!  was a pretty important aircraft and in service for near 30 years… the AV-8B Harrier was not US Navy, US Marines only… and finally, the video of an F-35B STVOL F-35B, again is NOT US Navy, will be a Marine A/C only.  Not to mention you showed an F-35A USAF.  Ooops… yeah you forgot the AJ-1 Savage, the FIRST US Navy Nuclear bomber, which was equipped with pistons, but also an Allision J-33 Turbojet used for take off and high speed final nuclear attack portions, which technically makes it a (hybred) jet power as several aircraft of that era were… FINALLY, if you included the F-111, you then missed the Martin P6M SeaMartin, which was a prototype jet powered flying boat (you did say US Navy, and this was NAVY, for sure!)  And again FINALLY FINALLY, you made absolutely no mention of US jet trainers!  T-2J Buckeye?  T-45 Goshawk?  Any trainers?  ALL US Navy jet jocks start on these!  Video is not factual in all respects… if you are going to make a video claiming you are putting up all US Navy jet A/C, better be more accurate!  Or slightly more descriptive to indicate WHAT you are including or not!  Prototypes?  In-service aircraft only?  Carrier-based only?  Otherwise not complete or factual… more homework needed!

My two favorites were the F7U Cutlass and, of course, the F-14 Tomcat. There was one magazine column that noted the Cutlass's nose gear, the way it bounces, causes the ejection seat to launch the pilot out of the cockpit!

Missing the S-3 Viking… VS-38 Fighting Red Griffins flew hundreds of combat sorties during Operation Desert Storm… But I guess the editors believe a "Sub hunter" would never be considered a "Combat" jet.

    The Navy has the
Finest Pilots in the word, too bad they
No longer have the best plane. I don't know who decided the Navy should have the F35 POS . F-14 and F-18 were of the best. Someone needs to be castrated for not separating Air force and Navy Aircraft.
