BBA Helps Manager at Dept of Defense Grow Her Skillset

July 25, 2019

I'm a security division chief for the Department of Defense that managed about 12 people I didn't seek my BBA to get a promotion or to make more money I was already well advanced in my career but what the BBA did offer me was more applicable skills that I could use in my day-to-day life as a supervisor my concentration in human resources gave me skills to apply things like developing training plans for my employees communication skills situations in the courses where you have to present before the class speaking in front of people definitely helped build the confidence that I already had I was able to mix online courses with campus courses the online experience with strayer was very diverse and rich but didn't feel like you were isolated you still got that classroom environment even in the online setting the courses were challenging I felt like I was getting my money's worth the curriculum was current dealing with real-world situations the professor's both online and campus were in touch with the challenges that we face in this day and age when I was just attending classes on campus at strayer there was a lot of networking involved it was a good opportunity to meet new people and forge friendships that you could leverage in the future what I would tell someone who is considering going to strayer university is go for it they have so many different programs available even if you want to focus on business administration they have so many concentrations within that degree program my focus area was human resources but there's so much to choose from so i will tell anybody who's considering it to go ahead and make that choice
