CHINESE SCIENTISTS HAIL STEALTH BREAKTHROUGH THAT MAY BLIND MILITARY RADAR || WARTHOG 2019

July 28, 2019

Chinese scientists have achieved a series of breakthroughs and stealth materials technology that they claim can make fighter jets and other weaponry lighter cheaper to build and less vulnerable to radar detection professor Luo Cheng Hong and colleagues at the institute of optics and electronics chinese academy of sciences in Chengdu Sichuan province said they had created the world's first mathematical model to precisely describe the behavior of electromagnetic waves when they strike a piece of metal engraved with microscopic patterns according to a statement posted on the Academy's website on Monday hopefully will you be pleased fun them they thought I can tell if you want got a hot pot set so you know what it wasn't or not but that's an internal economy with their new model and breakthroughs in materials fabrication they developed a membrane known as a meta surface which can absorb radar waves in the widest spectrum yet reported at present stealth aircraft mainly rely on special geometry their body shape to deflect radar signals but those designs can affect aerodynamic performance they also use radar absorbing paint which has a high density but only works against a limited frequency spectrum this video is sponsored by the military vehicle combat game war thunder go to battle on more than 1200 playable aircraft tanks and ships from the 1930s to the 1990s right now on your PC Xbox one or PlayStation 4 all you need is a keyboard and mouse or controller to join the endless thrill of combined arms battles with more than 20 million players from all over the globe use the link in the description below to join war thunder for free and get an additional premium tank or aircraft and a boosted account for three days as a bonus in one test the new technology cut the strength of a reflected radar signal measured in decibels by between 10 and nearly 30 decibels in a frequency range from 0.3 to 40 gigahertz a stealth technologist from Fudan University in Shanghai who was not involved in the work said a fighter jet or warship using the new technology could feasibly fool all military radar systems in operation today this detection range is incredible the researcher said I have never heard of anyone and coming close to this performance at present absorbing technology with an effective range of between 4 and 18 gigahertz is considered very very good the lower the signal frequency the longer a radars detection range but detailed information about a moving target can only be obtained with higher frequency radio waves militaries typically use a combination of radars working at different frequencies to establish lines of defense the medium extended air defense system NATO's early warning radar operates at a frequency range of 0.3 to 1 gigahertz the American terminal high-altitude area defense system the missile defense radar that caught Beijing's attention when it was deployed in South Korea in 2017 operates at frequencies around 10 gigahertz some airports use extremely short-range high-frequency radars running at 20 gigahertz or above to monitor vehicle and plane movements on the ground but even they might not be able to see a jet with the new stealth technology until it is overhead materials with meta service technology are already found on military hardware in China although what they are and where they are used remains largely classified The Futon researcher said Luo and his colleagues could not be reached for comment but according to the Academy's statement in a paper the team published in the journal advanced science earlier this year the stealth breakthroughs were based upon a discovery they made several years ago they found that the propagation pattern of radio waves how they traveled in extremely narrow metallic spaces was similar to a catenary curve a shape similar to that assumed by chain suspended by two fixed points under their own weight inspired by catenary electromagnetics the team developed a mathematical model and designed meta surface is suitable for nearly all kinds of wave manipulation these included energy absorbing materials for stealth vehicles and antennas that can be used on satellites or military aircraft do shining a professor of physics specializing in meta materials at Nanjing University said the catenary model was a novel idea the Institute of optics and electronics in Chengdu has conducted long-term research in this area which paved a solid foundation for their disk korie's they have done a good job Jew said scientists are exploring new features of metal materials some of them are already in real-life applications

Hahahaha. It’s ALL theoretical until proven in combat.

The USA 1st Stealth F/A Jet was operationally flying missions in 1981. I promise you most of the UFO’s reported all over the world is SECRET US technology. We just don’t publicize it so China/Russians can try to steal it.

Of course it’s cheaper, it’s made in China! The only tech the Chinese have is Stolen technology or back engineered. They paid Pakistan for the tail section of US stealth helicopter used in Bin Laden raid. That’s their breakthrough.

I was reading about metametals in a 2012 science mag today that can hide objects from light by steering light around the object, from sound, that could make submarines invisible to sonar, etc and they were working of materials to screen objects from EM waves, guess they have arrived.

China copies everything from the US. This reminds me that Freedom creates and discovers, Communism copies and destroys. I support Taiwan, Tibet and Hong Kong Independence and Freedom and Democracy for all that can handle it and willing to pay any price to achieve it for themselves and the generations that follow.

The last century belonged to America, this century will belong to China. America continues to demonstrate why they are ranked between 15th and 17th in education. America was scrambling to be part of the economic boom in China in the 90's and 2000's. China had one condition. You set up a corporation here and the Chinese partner owns 51%. Americans said yes and the rest is history. American universities and colleges love educating Chinese students. They pay more in tuition then American students. It is about the revenue stupid. Between semesters (summer jobs) and internships in American companies the Chinese student gains valuable knowledge. I should also mention students come from all countries in the world to American, United Kingdom, the EU and Canadian universities to learn. Unfortunately, some countries like America say once you are done your education, no matter how brilliant you are and could help our country you are out of here! Most Americans are not intelligent enough to know these facts or believe them. They are to self absorbed.

Translation "We stole from the Americans, the Europeans and Canadians. We then took that information and reverse engineered it. Copied it and built it". The first hacker made drone.

Lol look at all those cheap knock offs of American and Russian tech. China is a joke honestly. They rely on backwards engineering everything they buy from Russia or hack from the U.S.

It's sad that a country who's trying to be a super power cant even create reliable home grown weapons or engines for their fighter jets. 😂
