Fallout 4 Mod Tutorial (Unique Weapon)

hey what's up guys this is Eagle gonna be doing a mod tutorial this time it's gonna be how to create a unique weapon what I mean by that is not just like you know all those just custom weapon mods where you can mess with the stats and all that nope this is actual sexual unique weapons such as like the ash maker and all the other good stuff so of course first you're gonna have to go to data and open up the file ITSM and that'll take a while but after that you'll just save the plug-in as whatever so their work up now we got that awesome plug-in make sure that active it is active and we're gonna go ahead and take this to Abernathy farm well that loads just gonna look for the place to put the turf just gonna get a table since gotta have something to put the weapon on oh yeah as you can tell it sort of had a moment where it kind of froze up that's why you got a safe frequently especially because it does not very much appreciate multitasking as I can tell come on now oh yes if this video feels a bit rushed it's because this is my fourth time trying to record it because something always goes wrong that requires meas have to restart it such as maybe an audio file being in the wrong spot so there we go table now I'm going to actually get the weapon that's going to be our awesome weapon which this time bored with trying to do knives all the time for all this video so what we're gonna do this time is we're gonna do a gun especially because knives are too easy so what we're gonna do is we're going to home it really doesn't matter which one of these we choose we're just going to rename it to whatever and then right here instead of having a pipe wrench we're going to choose whatever the fuck I want so for the sake of this I'm going to go with oh geez go with a plasma gun there we go so I created a new form yes and now we're going to go down here and we're going to say yes you can get rid of that because that is useless and now we go down back into the weapons thing and we look up some weapon mods oops if I of course if I can remember what the actual name of it is which for guns going to be you Miska mod isn't it yes so we've got a plasma gun so we're going to look for asthma again yes plasma gun just sort of extend that of it so we can read it so we're gonna go with the marksman stock maybe maybe a medium scope let's see more damaged receiver while there is a lot of stuff to do for this we have a shotgun and because we're like this we're gonna go for a legendary as well so let's see legendary let's do still like explosive bullets just because we can so there we go we're going to create a new form there we go and that's going to be our unique weapon now what we need to do is we need to have a quest for it so for this one we're just going to duplicate this because there is a script that is used to load all them or load all the unique weapons and frankly I'm just not going to make it or redo a script just for just for requesting weapons so we're just going to mess with this one going to get rid of all of these because they're useless and we're only doing one weapon equals done quest aliases get rid of those because we're gonna have our own under this one and then we're just going to get rid of all of these that is useless there we go we'll come back to that later because now we need a reference so we're gonna go back under items and you can put it into a container but for the sake of this I'm just going to use one of these which I don't think it matters which one you use but just to make things a little bit more I guess easier to look at just gonna do a plasma weapon okay and it doesn't really matter what it looks like it's just our reference so well name that custom done there doesn't matter the name just easy to find Shazam and now we can go back oops good actor we're gonna go ahead and and create any reference alias again equals gone it's going to be optional and we're gonna need a specific reference the specific reference being our lovely uh sitting right there um whenever that pops up I usually click no but unless it's inside of a building because I don't think it really matters but just to be on the safe side oh yes almost forgot we don't need these we don't have them any weapons go back to here you can double click that or you can just click on click the properties actually no don't do that there we go just to make sure because every sometimes I double click and then it just does not register that I create our new property so because our that was our quest age 10 deandre juries can be 10 or thought so filter just have that as a filter just so that we only get these so we're going to find again do that find again this this is the reference of course when I make sure it's the reference we're gonna want to have a place at since our reference is just sitting on top of a table and we can't place it inside the reference so instead is going to place it at it and of course because this is the only weapon in our quest that one's pretty self-explanatory yank remove that there we go and then just make sure everything is in here so quest stage Chris alias scripts beautiful so just save that and I will see you guys in game alright so here we are at Abernathy farm beautiful place so our table should be over here unless I didn't save there's a table and there is our weapon oh no you bastard I forgot to change the name so as you can tell I messed up of course his name this okay so keep in mind this is usually correct this is usually a wrench a pipe wrench or something like that and now we've turned it into this awesome plasma weapon where it has boosted photon agitator bullets explode some comfort grips and short sights and it's beautiful the only thing I ever got was to change the name I can go back into the thing and show you what the fuck I meant but yes this is basically the weapon it's beautiful already so if you guys wanted to know if I had it wrong don't worry about it because all we have to do is go back to hear no evil I can spell eagle so what I messed up here is that I in rename them this override name right here this changes it to whatever you wanted to be and just check this so now they have plasma rifle yeah stuff Dante and unmarked ah so yeah there we go that was basically it so if you guys want me to do any other mods for the fallout holy crap that a ram like of course I can okay any suggestions that'd be great otherwise I'll probably just do whatever the hell I think is necessary next which maybe melee weapons even though they're basically the same because then I can shove it into a container to show you guys a container until then hope you guys enjoyed it I hope I didn't go too fast this is my first time or fifth time according to     Im trying to make a unique sword and i cant figure out how to have it, change the texture/mesh. Im lost here

    I have horrendous issues with the CK crashing while trying to delete all the quest stages. Any way around this?

    Finally I've found a free video editing software that lets me output in 1080p so I can begin making mod tutorials again without killing peoples eyes with the resolution.

    Eagle, is there a way to edit a mod? For example, I'm trying to balance the damage of some weapon mods I downloaded from nexus. I repeated this process with the files from the plugins (esp files), and created another unique file from that. However, when I load the game and try to use the weapon, it is invisible and does not display the stats I modified. How could I get it to work as the mod itself?

    Very useful info I was wondering how they did the unique items. I've been making dups of the legendary mods, effects and enchantments then changing them so that they don't have the legendary title like "bleeding" and just display the items name…this looks a lot easier. Thanks!

    If I wanted to make a gun that has different parts say for example a shotgun and a laser rifle. Would I go through these same steps or would that be something totally different ?

    Adding Unique weapons is so fucking convoluted now.
    It was a good tutorial but I would have appreciated it if you explained why you were doing what you were doing. What were you making the game do, because I have to guess.

    I'm assuming that, because unique legendaries can't be placed directly into the world, you have to use a quest that runs automatically and replaces a random dummy marker with the actual unique legendary?
