New iPhone 12 feature in the works

July 29, 2019

event invites new MacBooks Apple fixes its keyboard issues more iPhone 11 leaks and touch ideas back brace yourself because there's a lot going on with Apple this week and I'm gonna try to break it all down for you in the next ten minutes we started off the week with a product launch from Apple now don't get too excited because they're just updates to the original MacBook Pro lineup and they still pretty much look exactly the same as last year's models but there are some important updates to point out first up under the hood they have brand new processors ninth gen core i7 and core I 9 CPUs from Intel now this means it's the first time Apple has offered an 8 core processor in a laptop and Apple says that it's the most powerful MacBook out there right now the second important update to the MacBook Pros is that they're using a new material in the keyboard now they still have that traditional butterfly switch mechanism that has caused so many issues but apparently the new material is gonna help prevent the problem now we've kind of heard this before because in the third gen keyboards Apple used a protective membrane underneath that still didn't solve the problem so jury's still out but at least it's a good step forward and the keyboard news didn't stop there the company also announced it would be extending its keyboard service program to replace all faulty MacBook keyboards for free from 2015 and beyond and that they would speed up the repair process so after years of essentially ignoring the issue and telling customers that they just needed to do a better job at cleaning their keyboards last year Apple finally acknowledged that a very small percentage of users were experiencing issues with the butterfly switch keys in the newer Mac books and offered free repairs but this fix only covered first and second generation keyboard repairs and apparently the third generation keyboards were also having the same issues now it covers all of the above including the ones Apple just launched and instead of having to wait over a week for your repairs they will get done faster in fact some of the repairs will include the new keyboard material that Apple just announced in its new pros now this acknowledgment might come for years too late but hey I'll take it because it's not every day we see Apple owning up to its mistakes we've talked about the potential for a touch ID comeback in previous episodes of the Apple Corps and this week it's becoming a definite possibility just maybe not as soon as we'd hoped Apple's latest patent published in patently Apple shows just how the company plans to do this by embedding pinhole cameras behind the screen of the phone that could 3d map your fingerprint regardless of where you position your finger on the designated surface area now this doesn't mean that Apple is planning to replace face ID anytime soon but it would be a supplementary form of biometric identification that would make it even more secure and hey why not both what's exciting to me about this patent is that it shows pictures of a working prototype meaning Apple is pretty far along in the process plus this is the fourth patent of its kind Apple has filed in the last six months so it's a pretty big clue of what's to come now the bad news is that it likely wouldn't be ready to go into mass production until the 2020 cycle and that's especially disappointing to me because it seems like this could have been the redeeming quality that the iPhone 11 really desperately needed which brings us to that iPhone 11 because hey the week just wouldn't be complete with yet another iPhone 11 leaked and look at that now I'm rhyming because this apparently is what this phone is doing to me this time around it's a video from concept creator and it pretty much brings to life all of the rumors we've heard to date about the design for this year's iPhone except he calls it the iPhone 11 with Roman numerals which I thought was interesting so you'll see the three camera array on the back that most of us hate figure silhouette than previous models and that rounded switch button that moves up and down oh yeah and the knotch size has not changed on the front not pictured here but also rumored for the iPhone 11 is that reverse wireless charging like the Galaxy S 10 and that new a 13 chip that apparently has already got into production but enough about the rumors now it's time to turn the tables and see what you guys had to say last week we saw the two colors rumored to be coming to the iPhone 11 are green and purple so I asked you guys what colors you'd like to see most on the new lineup and I was actually surprised to hear that quite a bit of you we're actually gonna miss that blue and coral but among the more popular options a lot of you want to see not one but two colors in one device similar to what the Huawei p30 has Eric child says I for one would love to see a two-tone iPhone pink was also in high demand I need pink says Sarah key and girl I'm with you sure we have the rose gold but if you're gonna go pink you might as well go a full bubblegum all right but as much as I love me some pink I think my favorite and the most popular choice among you guys was a transparent iPhone Nathaniel Velasquez says he'd like to see a clearer iPhone with an Apple logo that lights up and dude that would almost make me forgive that triple camera bump on the back almost so I couldn't get a transparent render and but I did get this which is the closest I could get it's actually a wallpaper that you can download for free on iFixit and already it looks kind of cool so imagine this on the back with a glowing logo I'm all for it and last but certainly not least we got the official WWDC invites this week and it's all getting real so next week we're gonna be talking about what to expect at Apple's Developers Conference so I want to hear from you guys what software updates do you want to see come to your Apple devices hit me up on the comments section below tweet me you know the drill and come back next week for the full preview see you then

You are all over the board. I was under the impression that this video was going to be focused on the new iPhone yet to come.

What's the big deal about an in-display fingerprint sensor? The 2019 Samsung S10 had an in-display fingerprint sensor at much cheaper than the iPhone. The 2018 One Plus 6T had one as well for half the price of an iPhone. iPhone are way behind with everything. What other phones have had for ages will take them until 2020 to have in their phones.

I’ve been waiting for apple to something Innovative with the iPhone for several years and they continue to disappoint but,
I continue to buy each one.
We “the consumer” have to just black ball apple until they give me something Worthy of my $1,600.

All I need is night shot

    Wide angle

And hoping the iPhone offers 128gb of memory to start ( no more 64gb)

I love Apple keyboards. Both touchscreen ones and the Macbook ones. I can fly on them. Both 2016 and 2018 MBP Touchbar keyboards are good. Unless you are a filthy guy who eats potato chips daily with the keyboard.
