In this work we use a drone for haptics in virtual reality. We have augmented our safe to touch drone with fabrics and a hanger to simulate a shopping experience. We first show the closest renderable patch to the users and highlight it in green when it’s ready to be touched. Users can then reach out and feel the fabric. Users can also pick up the item that they’d like to purchase and place it in their shopping basket. The drone can also land on various surfaces. Users can then pick up a show box by picking up the drone itself.
